Guadeloupe is a very popular destination for divers from all over the world, and it is very easy to understand why. Great visibility, beautiful corals and a lively wildlife makes diving in Guadeloupe a fantastic experience for divers of all skill levels. Langley Resort Fort Royal has its own scuba center with instructors certified from both PADI and FFESM. They can help you with everything from a test dive in the pool to a trip to Pigeon Island, once described by Jacques Cousteau himself as one of the best diving spots in the world.
To be able to exercise on your vacation is important for us at Langley Resort Fort Royal. That is why our tennis courts were renovated in 2013 with state of the art surface “Play it Top sand” which is a carpet-like surface that is covered with ceramic sand, which gives you a clay-like surface, but without the bad bounces and the “slippery when wet” situations. From November to April we have a professional tennis trainer there to help both children and adults to improve their game.
From November to April we have our own yoga instructor at Langley Resort Fort Royal. If you like to try an exercise form that aims to give you well-being to both body and soul, yoga can be something for you. Participate in yoga groups with up to 30 people, book a private session or join one of our yoga-inspired excursions like sunrise yoga or if you feel really adventurous, stand-up paddle yoga!
At Langley Resort Fort Royal we believe there is always something new to discover. We are therefore very proud to present our well-developed range of excursions to the rainforest, waterfalls, active volcano, parks, sugar cane fields, coral reefs, amazing paradise islands and much much more. We are really looking forward to answering your questions and to showing you around our beautiful islands. (To mention just a few of our excursions: Coastal fishing, Canyoning, Jardin Botanique, Kayak in the mangroves, Turtle safari, Whale watching).

This spectacular island has something for everyone and it is impossible to not fall in love with it. From the white sandy beaches and the crystal clear turquoise water to the rainforest and volcano it truly is a unique place.
Lay on the beach in the morning, go for a swim and enjoy a nice lunch. The afternoon can be spent hiking in the rain forest, jumping down waterfalls, walking around the volcano, surfing on the black volcanic beach, or why not just enjoy a trip to the botanical gardens? There really is something for everyone here regardless if you are a hardcore adventurer or just curious of the local culture.
Guadeloupe is divided in two main islands, Basse-Terre and Grand Terre. Our hotel is in Basse-Terre and this is also the part of the island with the volcano and the most rain forest. But don't worry, the volcano is one of the best monitored in the world. But it really is a sight to behold so we do recommend you join us for one of our excursions to it.
The people of Guadeloupe are very friendly and many speak English. However it is French and Creole that are the main languages. Guadeloupe is a French overseas department which means that is ruled by France and is also a part of the EU.
Both the fauna and flora is very rich so you can expect to see lots of beautiful animals. We do recommend that you go snorkeling since the marine life is plentiful and varied. Sea turtles for example, often come to our resort and it is quite common to see them around the hotel.
