Chamonix

The birthplace of alpinism and probably one of the most famous alpine destinations in the world. Here you will find an exciting mix of people ranging from tourists to professional free skiers and mountain climbers. With Mont-Blanc casting it's enormous shadow over the village and surrounding mountains Chamonix truly is a unique destination.

The world's first Winter Olympics in 1924 were held in Chamonix and it is easy to see why. Regardless if you are an avid skier, a mountain climber, a hiker or simply curious about alpinism Chamonix is the destination to explore it all.

The skiing, both on-piste and off-piste, is some of the absolute best in the world and from Gustavia you have quick access to it all with the ski-bus departing just 250m from the hotel.

The village is quite big and is populated all year due to the many activities available in the summer time. The main street offers a big variety of stores ranging from Christian Dior to smaller shops with sporting goods. There is something for everyone.

And let's not forget the food! Chamonix has an abundance of restaurants offering everything from worldclass sushi to Raclette and Fondue. You will not leave Chamonix hungry even if you are a picky eater.
