Guadeloupe is a very popular destination for divers from all over the world, and it is easy to understand why. Great visibility, beautiful corals and a lively wildlife makes diving in Guadeloupe a fantastic experience for divers of all skill levels. Langley Resort Fort Royal cooperates with a local dive center with instructors certified by PADI and FFESM. They can help you with everything from test dives in the pool to a trip to Pigeon Island, once described by Jacques Cousteau himself as one of the best diving spots in the world.

Our tennis courts are built with groundbreaking claytech technology, a carpet-like surface that is covered with ceramic sand. It gives you a clay-like surface, but without the bad bounces and the “slippery when wet” situations. From November to April we have a professional tennis trainer on sight to help children and adults improve their game.

From November to April we have a yoga instructor on site at Langley Resort Fort Royal.  If you are interested in an exercise that targets well-being of the body and soul, yoga can be something for you. You can participate in groups with up to 30 people or book a private session. Every once in a while we arrange little happenings such as “Sunrise Yoga”.

We love to discover new places, and revisit old ones. Be sure to check out our excursions to the rainforest, waterfalls, volcano, parks, sugar cane fields, coral reefs, amazing paradise islands and many more. We look forward to answering your questions and to showing you around the beautiful islands.

A few of our excursions (subject to availability): Coastal Fishing, Canyoning, Jardin Botanique, Kayak in the Mangroves, Turtle Safari, Whale Watching, Horseback Riding, Visit to Petit-Terre, Visit to Pointe-à-Pitre, Rhum Distillery and River Trekking.

While on holiday, enjoy a massage in the Fort Royal massage hut right next to the Caribbean Sea. You will hear the relaxing sound of waves in the background. Guadeloupe is a French island located in the Caribbean. It consists of two main islands, Basse-Terre, and Grand Terre. Together, they form the shape of a butterfly. Its rich culture, tropical rainforests, idyllic beaches, and unique environments (including a volcano) are some of the reasons that people from all over the world choose to visit here.

Whether you wake up feeling lazy or adventurous, there are plenty of ways to spend your day in Guadeloupe. Grab a towel and head for the beach, go for a stroll in the rain forests, go swimming in waterfalls, hike up the volcano, go surfing on a volcanic beach, or why not just enjoy a soothing trip to the botanical gardens? The opportunities are endless and diverse.

The locals are very friendly, and many speak English. The main languages are French and Creole. Guadeloupe is a French overseas department which means that it’s part of the EU. Their local currency is Euro.

Guadeloupe is home to a rich wildlife, but unlike many exotic destinations, it is a very safe place to be.  You will most likely get to see lots of beautiful animals. We also recommend that you go snorkelling on one of the many beaches. Sea turtles are quite common, and occasionally, they show up at our resort. Just remember that they are a protected species!
