The hotel, Langley Resort Napoléon Bonaparte, is a grand resort in the picturesque town of L’Île-Rousse on the French island of Corsica. It is located right by the beach, in the center of town. Because of this, we believe it is the ideal getaway and starting point for exploring Corsica. The hotel consists of two main buildings with a total of 144 rooms and a maximum capacity of 400 guests. The hotel also offers a wide range of excursions, activities, a kids club, and tennis lessons.
The restaurant at Napoléon Bonaparte serves international cuisine with local influences for breakfast and dinner in buffet style, with an open kitchen where chefs prepare the food in front of our guests. The pool bar serves à la carte lunch, as well as a wide range of drinks and light meals/snacks. There is also a lounge bar in the reception area. We strive to use local products as much as possible to reduce our environmental impact.
We are looking for a dedicated Hotel Manager who will lead six departments at the hotel: restaurant, bar, reception, kitchen, housekeeping, and activity. Each department has its own manager, whom you will work closely with. The hotel is open from May to October, but this is a year-round position. During the months when the hotel is closed, you will work on other areas of the operation such as maintenance, suppliers, recruitment, etc.
You are driven to deliver high and consistent quality, to lead and inspire your team, and you are used to working in a multicultural environment. The position is very hands-on and requires you to be part of daily operations. The restaurant and bar are a major part of the operation, and significant time and energy must go into optimizing service level, presentation, and efficiency. Experience as a Restaurant Manager is a strong advantage. You will also ensure that Langley’s service concept is fully implemented across all departments. You have excellent communication skills in English and French.
At least 2 years of full-time experience in a similar role (experience as a Restaurant Manager is a strong advantage)
EU visa or work authorization allowing you to work in France
Fluency in English and French
Experience working in a multicultural environment
Active lifestyle and enjoyment of a fast-paced work environment
